I recalled you highlighted that slax need a certain basic programmes notwitstanding that users can easily add wlax later via modules. Only question is, why is my Atheros AR wifi not working It is still close source but distributable?.

Most importantly this includes NTFS and ext4 support, so Slax is now capable of booting from them as well. I am happy to announce that a new version of Slax Linux has been released. In terms of distribution, its legally correct not to distribute the firmware with the distro. Tomas M Just my 2 cents worth. It seems this problem is very common so it is probably worth to add the firmware directly to Slax, even if that makes it bigger. If other distros breach this fact, its at their own legal risk. The broadcomm and intel cards required firmware, but the drivers were present in slax. I use default save to file unencrypted.
